C+P two-time silver medallist in Canada!
That's what we call a successful premier: for the very first time we attended the IIDEX/NeoCon trade fair in Toronto/Canada – and won two "Silver Awards" right off.
IIDEX/NeoCon is the leading Canadian trade fair for design, architecture and furniture. An ideal place for us, especially since we already operate on the American continent. Only just in June 2011, we founded our first North American subsidiary, "CP Furniture Systems Inc." in Chicago/Illinois. Our trade fair participation in Canada was to lay the foundation for successful commercial activities in the land of the maple leaf.
That was why we made a point of competing for the IIDEX/NeoCon Award, which is given to special products. We entered the competition with "Monotop" elements which demonstrated the capabilities of this partition system in glass and aluminium: acoustically highly effective surfaces, frosted glass at the touch of a button (a genuine Aha! effect for the visitors), filigree double glazing - right through to a blackboard and an integrated monitor that can be written on.
The enthusiastic jury not only gave the "Silver Award" to our partition system as one of the most innovative products, but also awarded us another silver medal for the most attractive booth design. "Back in May we already won an award for our Premio management range," says Tobias Walter, Head of Sales and Marketing, "but to receive two awards at once as a newcomer at this trade fair – that is a real premier." Of course we mailed the good news home right away and informed our employees and customers on Facebook and Twitter.
Apart from the partition system, especially the conference zone was a magnet for the visitors in Canada. Here, the 'Acoustic Indoor Climate' issue was resolved in a visually appealing way. Acoustically effective "SonicWall" wall systems presented noise-absorbing surfaces in every imaginable look right through to customised design prints. In the multimedia meeting area, visitors had the opportunity to view modern technology perfectly integrated into furniture: media technology was controlled intuitively and wirelessly via iPhone/iPad. Conference tables were quickly reconfigured and wired, and mobile add-on modules easily incorporated. In the meantime, smartphones were charged by integrated "Wireless Charging" modules in the Cegano conference table. Just to remind you: C + P is the first European furniture manufacturer to install these wireless solutions into production furniture.
Once again we encountered that "Furniture for people" which incorporates modern, easy-to-use technology is a topic all over the world. Above all, we are committed at every trade fair to the motto of the movie genius Billy Wilder: Thou shalt not bore.
