Surprised Scandinavians

C+P amazes visitors at the „Furniture Fair“ in Stockholm

Visitors at the largest furniture, light and design fair in Scandinavia are accustomed to new products and trend-setters. However hardly anyone was expecting the wide range of expertise that we presented at our fair première in Stockholm.

That's completely understandable, for which manufacturer except C+P can cover so many areas of expertise? There was quite an overwhelming response to the variety of products on display at the fair booth: from ergonomic sit/stand workstations, conference and lounge tables featuring full technology integration, mobile fridge caddies for the meeting zone, acoustic solutions and assembled box lockers to lockers with lighting integrated in the roof.

Our basic idea behind all of these improvements: Furniture is there for people. So people should not just enjoy furniture; it should also make their lives that little bit easier.

"Finally something different!"
As the classic "land of wooden furniture", Scandinavia is a region that can't complain about a lack of office furniture. How can a German furniture manufacturer score there? Simply with some good ideas! For example, the Workflow sit/stand table system fascinated visitors not only with its design but also with its function: two independent working surfaces, with one of them even usable as a conference table – that was unheard-of in Scandinavia. "Finally something different than those boring 160 x 80 tables," was the reaction. The Cegano conference table systems also provided for plenty of aha effects: just plug in a notebook or iPad, press "Easy Switch" – and the signal appears up front on the monitor. And when visitors saw how iPhones can be charged wirelessly on the table, everyone was completely surprised. No one had ever seen anything like it before. That's hardly surprising, you might think. After all, C+P is the first European manufacturer to incorporate these wireless solutions into its standard furniture range. The other office and conference exhibits such as the Asisto fridge caddy and tall pull-out cupboard or SonicWall acoustic solutions also wowed visitors with their unique features.

Reinventing the locker
Further highlights of the fair presentation were the security compartment and locker solutions, which feature not only a smart design but also "intrinsic values", because C + P technology expertise is consistently implemented in its cloakroom solutions as well. Visitors experienced state-of-the-art technology that is perfectly integrated into attractive furniture. The RGB lighting integrated into the roof of the Prefino locker system is computer-controlled – intuitively and wirelessly from an iPad or smartphone. The administration functions of the electronic locking systems are operated similarly. The Resisto assembled box locker demonstrated the newest generation of offline locking systems and was one of the booth’s eye-catchers with its attractive LED lighting.

Altogether we can look back on a totally successful fair in an interesting and appropriate environment. So there is absolutely no doubt that we will present our range in Stockholm again next year!
